Stillbirth is a relatively common, but often random, occurrence. The mean stillbirth rate in the United States is approximately 1 in 115 births, which is roughly 26,000 stillbirths each year, or on an average one every 20 minutes.

If you wish to donate yarn:
I prefer either baby yarn or but any type of soft yarn will do.  The softer the yarn, the softer the baby blanket will be.  An extra large skein of yarn can be purchased for around $6 and will be enough for one blanket.  If no extra large skeins are available, 2 large skeins will work and cost around $3.50 each.  You can go to the store and pick out yarn then mail it to me or you can buy yarn online by checking out the links on my Current Needs page and have it shipped to the address below.

If you wish to donate money:
I accept check, money order and Paypal.  Please do not send cash.  For your convenience I have added a "Donate" button above which will take you directly to my Paypal site.  You do not need a Paypal account to use this service (there is a link to click in the bottom left hand corner for anyone who does not have a Paypal account and does not wish to create one).  If you wish to send a check or money order, please use the address below.  Currently all money being donated is being used for postage so that I may continue to mail blankets to grieving parents that request one.

If you wish to donate a blanket:
I also accept blankets if you wish to make one yourself or you can check out the Current Needs page for links to home made baby blankets that are for sale on Etsy and Ebay.  Please note that I do not want store-bought blankets.  The purpose of the hand-made blanket is to show grieving parents that someone cared enough to take the time to make a blanket for their baby.  Blankets can be knitted, crocheted, quilted or no-sew.  Blankets can be mailed to my address and will then be donated with the blankets that I make or if you have a local chapter you may donate the blankets to them.  If you wish to donate a blanket, please use the address below.
